I'm not a professional boxer or anything, but I'm scrappy. I've been in my fair share of fights over the years.

I hate to admit it, but the Dame overpowered me easily when I had a go with her, though. She's got supernatural speed and that's not a result of a blessing, because otherwise I could have replicated it. Same with the venom within her fangs. That's all natural to her. Or supernatural? I dunno.

Hmmm. Most people would have to be trained to fight someone or something like her. You know, like a vampire hunter.

I didn't rise to the provocation this last time though. If I got seriously messed up before the game, the kids might have had to deal with the whole thing alone. Or might not have made the same guesses.

If everyone made a genuine effort to take one down all at once though, who can say how it would go? They couldn't handle ALL of us.

If we had more than three people who were trained as military or body guards or otherwise trained to kill rather than fight for sport, things might be different. I mean, even trained to fight for sport would help since I know there's a few of those, but when dealing with people like the Dame I don't think we can use fists. Not sure. I'm guessing they can't die, either, but they also aren't feeling very threatened by us.

Because they probably can't die that's why I also wanna drop them in the ocean.

But anyway, yeah. Though I'd prefer you not share that around. I generally try and keep it to myself. If someone uses their blessing around me and I notice or see it being used, I can replicate it myself, so long as I can touch them at some point.

It will stay with me until it gets erased by replicating a different blessing. So it only works for one at a time.

There's no reason for me to be spreading that kind of thing around. I won't mention it to anyone, don't worry.

Thanks. I appreciate it. People can sometimes get weird about it. And, to be honest- in a tough situation it could possibly come in handy at some point.

Absolutely. I think it's pretty neat, personally.

I've been stuck with healing since getting on the boat. I feel like I can't get rid of it though when people are always getting fucked up all the time here.

Definitely a useful ability to have, but I guess not very entertaining or exciting. And when it's in high demand, it can get exhausting, I bet...

Ah, well. I shouldn't complain, since it has come in real useful. And it only requires feathers which makes things easy enough for me.

Yeah, I just gotta cover the wound with some feathers. It...takes a little while. But it's better than nothing. Doesn't require pain or blood drinking like some of the other healing abilities in this place.

You gotta cozy up for a good amount of time. But my wings work well enough.

I usually have it out for aesthetic reasons at home. Since it helps with my image musically.

People in the disorder generally take on names after birds or related to them. I'm the only one who doesn't have a bird-like name on the disorder here on the boat at the moment.

I tried flying off the boat and into the horizon. I was able to, as well. I got almost as far as I could until the boat was just- [He lifts his fingers up] this tiny little speck. But...

I can't just LEAVE everyone here. And it's not like I know how far land is from the boat. I imagine that's why the shitty thought police didn't strike. Because it knew I was gonna come back anyway.

Yep. Flamingo decided to test it out for himself after I warned him. I guess he saw some pretty creepy creature when he tried. A long arm and bloodied claws? There was an ocean of blood, and he seemed convinced that we couldn't leave and would drown if we tried.

Aster also saw something weird when he tried. The two times I did, I never saw anything though? Just the incredible feeling that leaving was a bad idea, and if I tried to now, I would lose everything. That I wouldn't get this chance again. And the idea of that I guess was enough for me? I don't know what the difference is.

...Hm. where did you get the idea in the first place to try it, anyway? Manifesting or something?

The Showmaster told me to do it.

I cornered her about all of her shit and told her I wanted to leave. She told me to feel free. That she wouldn't keep me here. To try wishing to go home and to clear my head of everything except the desire to go home.

[He runs a hand through his hair.]

She claims this has happened before but that she's not responsible for it. I don't know how much I believe her, though. Aster's said we had to 'get to the end'. Flamingo's something about drowning and how we should stay a little longer.

Interestingly enough, none of them have made it seem like we'll be stuck here forever. Just that now isn't the right time.
