Nah, I can fly. Or turn into a full-on bird if I want to.
[He leans back against the chair.]
I tried flying off the boat and into the horizon. I was able to, as well. I got almost as far as I could until the boat was just- [He lifts his fingers up] this tiny little speck. But...
[He sighs]
I can't just LEAVE everyone here. And it's not like I know how far land is from the boat. I imagine that's why the shitty thought police didn't strike. Because it knew I was gonna come back anyway.
Yep. Flamingo decided to test it out for himself after I warned him. I guess he saw some pretty creepy creature when he tried. A long arm and bloodied claws? There was an ocean of blood, and he seemed convinced that we couldn't leave and would drown if we tried.
Aster also saw something weird when he tried. The two times I did, I never saw anything though? Just the incredible feeling that leaving was a bad idea, and if I tried to now, I would lose everything. That I wouldn't get this chance again. And the idea of that I guess was enough for me? I don't know what the difference is.
I cornered her about all of her shit and told her I wanted to leave. She told me to feel free. That she wouldn't keep me here. To try wishing to go home and to clear my head of everything except the desire to go home.
[He runs a hand through his hair.]
She claims this has happened before but that she's not responsible for it. I don't know how much I believe her, though. Aster's said we had to 'get to the end'. Flamingo's something about drowning and how we should stay a little longer.
[ . . . ]
Interestingly enough, none of them have made it seem like we'll be stuck here forever. Just that now isn't the right time.
If it's not the Showmaster responsible for preventing us from leaving in this manner, then does it think we mean some place other than the home we have here on Estoria? Like, technically, if it has nothing to do with our kidnapping on this boat, does whatever it is think we are home still as we know it and thinking we want to go somewhere else, and that's why it's telling us not to hurry? Why would we lose everything going home if home is where we've been taken from and deprived of? We haven't gained anything on this boat that could constitute as everything.
I guess I didn't really know what I mean, just that it feels like it doesn't make much sense to me to be going back home to shore as losing everything is possible or not the right time unless we're all somehow being headhunted.
The meals to the cabin leave something to desired but the lounge food isn't bad, I guess. Wish we didn't have to keep doing strange social-building activities to get the full menu, though...

And it suits your music from the little I've heard, too.
Are they just aesthetic?

Makes me think of those freaky ass visions.

Though actually... if we go to the lounge are we gonna have to hold hands the entire time we eat? Or just while ordering food?
Re: Evening 228
I'm assuming once we get the order accepted it's fine... right?

Re: Evening 228
I've practically been living off the appetizers there, the daily meals sent to the cabins, and the food made at the cafe.
[Except when Phoenix cooks he supposes.]

[ Sam sighs dramatically as they walk. ]
Re: Evening 228
Ah well. Could be worse than holding hands with an attractive guy for a few.
